California Bucket List

17 Apr

Another friend of ours is leaving California this summer and made a bucket list of things she wants to do before leaving. We decided it was a good idea and are going to copy her. Here’s what we’ve come up with so far:

1) Kayak

2) Griffith Observatory

3) Bike ride to the beach

4) Wine Tasting in Santa Barbara (Let’s do this together, Divers, yeah?)

5) Whale Watching (We’re going this Saturday!)

6) La Brea Tar Pits (Thanks, Brooks)

7) Museum of Tolerance (Thanks, Brooks again)

8) Venice Beach

Anything else we should add?

Redwoods or sequoias, Monterey aquarium, Trip up the 101 soaking up all the beautiful scenery, just to name a few of my favorites. Maybe, The Getty and Tar pits, Museum of Tolerance and all museums in LA. : )

Just drove up the 101 last year and went to Monterey, but Museum of Tolerance is definitely a good one. Never done the Tar Pits either.

Wow, if you’re bike riding to the beach from Grand Terrace, you’re gonna be pretty tired! Ha ha 🙂 How about ON the beach? 🙂

Whale watching sounds fun; can’t really do that in Colorado. Just be sure to take some Dramamine a half hour before…trust me on that!

For sure. I actually prefer Bonine, but I’ll definitely be taking it!

Kayaking in La Jolla is the best!! Let us know when you are going and maybe we can join you.
There’s some great hiking and waterfalls in Malibu. Have you been to Yosemite? Palm Springs Tram? Camping in Idywild or other various places in Cali.
