Day 16/17 & Meatballs

Sorry for slacking on the blogging over the weekend. I was just having so much fun! Let’s talk about having fun for a bit. It’s hard to do social engagements when on the Whole 30, but it’s possible. At nearly any restaurant, you can always get a piece of meat (i.e. steak or chicken breast) grilled with no sauce and some sort of vegetable. There’s also salad with lemon and olive oil for dressing. These are not exciting choices, but they are available. If you decide to keep major elements of paleo in your lifestyle after your 30 days are over, you will likely be like us and use social outings as your “cheat” meals. We’ll talk more about that in a few days.

Someone asked about the meatballs I was making. The recipe is from Melicious, and they are rather tasty. It was hard for me to find a meatball recipe without tomatoes, but this one is quite good. I’d never used caraway seeds before, so it was also fun to use a new spice.
